Formetco Online Proofing Terms and Conditions

 

1. Process and Usage Formetco offers a sophisticated online job management tool for quickly approving and modifying artwork for production with Formetco.  Formetco withholds the right to modify or adjust the functionalities of this interface without notice.  Online proofing requires an active internet connection either through a desktop computer or web-capable mobile device capable of displaying graphic imagery.  Online proofing is to benefit the production timeline of the job online as well as a visual contract between Formetco and our clients for proof of final production.  Proofs approved through our online portal are not color accurate due to the nature of different types of displays.  Color accuracy can only be achieved by requesting a print production sample or hard copy proof from Formetco prior to proof approval. 

 

2. Print Production Formetco uses a digital inkjet technology to produces all print outputs that utilizes the CMYK color model.  Pantone or other spot colors will be reproduced using the CMYK equivalent of any supplied Pantone or other spot colors. All prints produced in-house at Formetco will be produced at a high quality output resolution standard of 360dpi.  This resolution output is acceptable for most grand and large format applications.  A need or desire for a higher quality output must be made at initial order entry.  Materials and substrates used are industry standards.  Material samples are available upon request only.  Failure to understand the output material’s specifications, weight and appearance will not be the responsibility of Formetco, Inc.

 

3. Proofing Procedures. Once proof approval has been received by any person with access to the online proof Formetco will begin immediate production, baring any payment issues.  Notice of adjustments after proof approval to Formetco could result in additional charges up to 100% of the total print cost.  If you elect not to have a proof either through online or hard proofing options, Formetco will assume a no fault responsibility for the final print regardless of the error.   Text and spelling errors that are missed during proof approval process will be the sole responsibility of the client and/or proof approver.   Online proofing also involves the confirmation of all productions specs that are associated with that job.  Productions specifications will be listed on the same screen as the digital proof.  Failure to question or comprehend these specifications will not be means to warrant a reprint or discount on future orders. 

 

4.  Production Turnaround. Typical production orders will be produced and shipped 3-5 business days after receipt of proof approval.  Print orders that require a non-standard turnaround will incur additional RUSH fees when applicable.  Order turnaround should be communicated in the initial order phase. Orders that are scheduled to pickup must be picked up promptly from the Formetco facilities or storage or shipping fees will then be applied to the job.  Non-standard materials could require longer production timeline due to press operation processes.

 

5. Order Delays. A proof that is sent via the online proofing portal requires immediate attention and approval in order to achieve the initial proposed deadline.  Failure to make a prompt approval will delay the final production of the order; regardless of initial RUSH fees associated with the job.  Extensive revisions or adjustments to the artwork may also delay the final job.  Approvals that are received after 2:00pm will be considered as the following day.  Request for hard proof after initial online proof has been submitted could result in order delay.   Formetco reserves the right to update or change the shipping method at our expense if responsibility of a tardy order is sole responsibility of Formetco.  Upgraded shipping due to client delays will result in additional charges.

 

6. User Setup.  One user from your company will be given the ability to setup additional users for their company web portal.  The person that is the administrator accepts the responsibility of these orders that these users enter and approve on the website.
